Mango Banana Basil Smoothie






Did you know that the word basil is derived from the Greek word for "king" ?  And I agree basil is the king of herbs. Not just used for pesto, basil is extremely versatile. I decided to throw it in my mango banana smoothie the other morning because I had leftover from dinner the night before. Let me just say,the combination was magical, really...

INGREDIENTS: 


1 Whole ripe Mango
1/2 Banana
A few basil leaves
1 cup of almond milk vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon raw honey (if needed)

Optional: A pinch of cinnamon
 
DIRECTIONS: 

 1.) Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender until perfectly smooth.
