DIY: Natural Sun-Kissed Highlights

Who doesn't love the look of sun-kissed highlights in the summer? Celebs like Jessica Alba and Blake lively have perfected their lust worthy sun- kissed locks.  But not all of us can afford to shell out big bucks or want put nasty chemicals on our tresses to achieve the look.  As a natural and budget friendly alternative to salon highlights, I like to make this chamomile highlighting spray made from ingredients found in the kitchen. This spray will  help to give you beautiful natural glowing highlights.

I N G R E D I E N T S:

1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
3 Teabags of Chamomile tea
2 Drops lavender oil

D I R E C T I O N S:
Brew the tea and let cool. Combine 1 cup of tea with lemon juice and lavender oil. Pour into spray bottle. Spritz your hair with the mixture in the areas you’d like to lighten (or all over your head). Then, sit out in the sun to set the mixture.  I usually spritz my hair right before a day on the beach. Chamomile tea works to gradually lighten your hair, so you may need to repeat this process more than once.
